Testlify Alternatives
People looking for Testlify alternatives are rarely short of features. Testlify packs 3,500+ tests, AI interviews and a long list of proctoring checks into one plan. What sends them looking is mostly arithmetic. Standard works out to about $16.68 a candidate, unused credits expire at the end of the cycle, and most ATS integrations and white-labeling are $2,388-a-year add-ons. If your volume is uneven or your budget is tight, one of these may fit better.

What is in this guide
TunnelQuiz wrote this guide and is one of the options in it. Every price and feature comes from the vendor's own website, read on 9 and 10 October 2026, and where TunnelQuiz is the weaker choice the guide says so.

How We Compared Them
We compared what a candidate costs at the entry price, what happens to unused credits, what the free option really is, and which anti-cheating checks are included rather than sold per attempt. We left out roadmap features and review-site scores.
TunnelQuiz
TunnelQuiz is built around one job: proctored tests on questions you write or import. A credit is one candidate sitting, Essential gives 150 credits a month for $34 billed yearly, and paid credits roll over while you're subscribed. Whole-screen captures every minute, tab and second-display checks are on every plan, Free included, and Essential adds webcam snapshots, AI browser-extension flags and live monitoring. In India the same plan is ₹1,319 a month billed yearly, plus 18% GST.
What you give up compared with Testlify: the 3,500-test library, video and audio AI interviews (TunnelQuiz's are text chats, on Pro), talking detection, session recording, live video proctoring and any ATS integration. TunnelQuiz flags noise from Essential and multiple faces on Pro. Proctored tests need Chrome or Edge.
See TunnelQuiz vs TestlifyTestGorilla
TestGorilla is the best-known name in this group, with 350+ tests, a free plan of 10 credits a month, and Core from $215 a month billed annually. Its Trust Layer, on every plan, logs tab and window changes and full-screen exits, blocks known AI agents and asks candidates to sign an honesty agreement. ID verification through Veriff is on Plus, from $520 a month.
Testlify users often compare the two on price. TestGorilla's paid plans are annual and its ATS integrations are on Plus. Visitors in India see lower rupee prices, Core from ₹6,900 a month. Its Trust Layer page says it avoids webcams, which is lighter proctoring than Testlify's.
See TunnelQuiz vs TestGorillaAdaface
Adaface's tests are 40 minutes long and delivered by a chatbot, from a library of 500+ covering programming, aptitude, personality, typing and languages. Plans are annual credit packs from $180 for 12 credits, with a 14-day trial. Every plan includes the whole library.
It costs credits to set a test up (5 for a library test, 10 for a custom one), and credits expire a year after purchase. Integrations include Greenhouse, Lever, Workable, SmartRecruiters, SAP SuccessFactors and Ashby, plus an API.
See TunnelQuiz vs AdafaceXobin
Xobin's catalogue is close to Testlify's in size, with 3,400+ skill assessments and 2,500+ role-based ones, and it adds coding tests that run code in 50+ languages, video assessments, AI proctoring, a lockdown browser and its own ATS. The 14-day trial needs no card.
Prices aren't published. The pricing page has you pick modules and a region, then book a demo. Choose it if you want one vendor for most of your hiring stack.
See TunnelQuiz vs XobiniMocha
iMocha has the largest library here, 10,000+ assessments, plus coding simulations that run code, video proctoring, a safe assessment browser and ID verification. It now sells itself as a skills and work intelligence platform for enterprises, with Workday and SAP connectors.
Its pricing page is a demo request. It is a step up in scope and cost from Testlify, not a cheaper replacement.
See TunnelQuiz vs iMochaVervoe
Vervoe tests candidates on job simulations, spreadsheets, code tasks and video answers from a 300+ assessment library, and grades them with machine learning trained on your team's scoring. It added full-screen mode and camera snapshots in October 2025.
Pricing is by request. It is the pick if your roles are better judged by a work sample than by a test score.
See TunnelQuiz vs VervoeMercer | Mettl
Mercer | Mettl brings psychometrics, coding simulators and the heaviest proctoring on this list: live and record-and-review proctors, dual-camera monitoring with a phone, photo ID authentication and its own secure browser.
It is sold by quote, mostly to large employers, universities and exam bodies. If your Testlify tests are turning into high-stakes exams, Mettl is built for that.

Match the alternative to the problem:
- Credits expiring unused: TunnelQuiz, where paid credits roll over while you're subscribed
- Cost per candidate at volume: TunnelQuiz or TestGorilla's free plan for small rounds
- You need a large library but a different vendor: TestGorilla, Xobin or iMocha
- Shorter tests candidates finish: Adaface
- Work samples instead of questions: Vervoe
- Live human proctoring: Mercer | Mettl
Whatever you pick, check what happens to unused credits and what the ATS connection costs before you sign. Those two lines are where most of the surprise in this category comes from.
