TunnelQuiz vs Vervoe: work samples graded by AI, or tests watched closely.

Vervoe tests candidates by having them do the work: answer a support ticket, build a spreadsheet, record a video answer. Its AI grading learns from your top performers, and its library has 300+ assessments. Its pricing page is now a request form. TunnelQuiz takes a narrower approach. You ask multiple-choice and written questions, and it watches how they are answered, with a capture of the candidate's whole screen every minute. Vervoe is better at realistic tasks. TunnelQuiz is better at showing you what happened.

Three things that are different

Published plans instead of a request form

Vervoe's pricing page leads with an ROI calculator and one button, Request pricing, beside a list of enterprise features: SSO, regional data storage, an uptime SLA. Its October 2025 release notes mention candidate credit packs that expire. TunnelQuiz's plans are listed with their prices, from a Free plan of 50 credits a month to Pro at $87 a month billed yearly, and Business by quote.

More than camera snapshots

Vervoe added full-screen mode and camera snapshots in October 2025, and lists tab-switch detection, identity checks and randomized questions. TunnelQuiz also captures the candidate's entire shared screen every 60 seconds on every plan, flags a second display, and from Essential flags known AI-assistant browser extensions and shows a live monitor of the sitting.

Realistic tasks are Vervoe's strength

Vervoe's question types include spreadsheets, code tasks, video answers and job simulations, and its AI ranks answers by learning from your top performers. TunnelQuiz has multiple choice and written answers, AI-drafted grading of written answers on Pro, and coding answers graded by AI without running the code. It has no video answers or simulations.

Why teams choose TunnelQuiz

Why teams choose TunnelQuiz over Vervoe

Reason 01

What was on the screen

A camera snapshot tells you the candidate was at the desk. A capture of the whole shared screen tells you what else was open. TunnelQuiz keeps both, every minute, alongside a timeline of every flag.

Reason 02

Grading you can explain

TunnelQuiz scores multiple choice by your key, with negative marking if you set it. On Pro an AI drafts marks for written answers and a person confirms them, unless you choose to make AI marks final. Either way you can show a candidate how their score was reached.

Frequently asked questions

Is TunnelQuiz a Vervoe alternative?

For proctored screening tests with published pricing, yes. For realistic job simulations, video answers and machine-learning grading trained on your team, no. That is what Vervoe is built for, and TunnelQuiz doesn't do it.

How much does Vervoe cost?

As of October 2026, Vervoe's pricing page doesn't list prices. It has a Request pricing button and a list of enterprise features: SSO, regional data storage, an uptime SLA, priority support and generative AI detection. Vervoe's October 2025 release notes mention candidate credit packs that expire.

How much does TunnelQuiz cost?

As of October 2026, TunnelQuiz has four plans: Free ($0, 50 credits a month that lapse at month end), Essential ($34 a month billed yearly, 150 credits a month), Pro ($87 a month billed yearly, 250 credits and 10 AI credits a month) and Business (quoted). Monthly billing is also available. Prices are in US dollars with no tax added. In India the same plans are ₹1,319 and ₹3,519 a month billed yearly, plus 18% GST.

Does Vervoe have proctoring?

Yes, lighter than a dedicated proctoring tool. Vervoe lists tab-switch detection, identity checks and randomized questions, and in October 2025 added full-screen mode and camera snapshots saved to the candidate's profile, along with better geolocation and plagiarism checks. Its site doesn't describe screen capture or a live view.

Which is better for volume hiring?

That depends on the role. For customer service or sales roles where a short work sample says a lot, Vervoe's simulations are strong. For large aptitude or knowledge screens, TunnelQuiz is quicker to build, and its per-candidate price is on its pricing page. Vervoe's is by quote.
