TunnelQuiz vs Proctor360: proctoring with the test built in.

Proctor360 is a proctoring service for exams that run on another platform. It offers AI auto-proctoring, live proctors watching one webcam or several cameras, and its signature 360 Total View headset, which is shipped to the candidate and sent back afterwards. TunnelQuiz is a test platform with proctoring inside it. You write the test, send a link and review automatic flags, all in the browser, on published plans priced in dollars and rupees. Proctor360 brings human proctors and photo ID checks that TunnelQuiz does not. TunnelQuiz brings the test builder and a price you can read today.

Three things that are different

Published pricing, not a quote after a demo

Proctor360 lists one price publicly: single-webcam live proctoring for one-time exams starts at $15 an hour, paid by the candidate at booking. Multi-camera, 360 Total View, AI proctoring and institutional programs are priced after a demo. TunnelQuiz prints every self-serve plan and top-up price, in dollars and rupees, and a sitting costs one credit whatever proctoring is switched on.

No hardware to ship or set up

Proctor360's top tier, 360 Total View, is a headset with a 360-degree camera, a microphone and a speaker. Its FAQ says the kit is shipped to the candidate's registered address and returned with a prepaid UPS label. To be fair, its single-webcam and AI modes need no extra device. TunnelQuiz never asks for one: a shared screen, Chrome or Edge, and a webcam from the Essential plan.

Minutes to set up, not a lengthy onboarding

Proctor360's FAQ puts standard LMS integration and onboarding at two to four weeks, and its one-time exam service takes one to two business days to approve an exam. That is reasonable for a proctoring layer joined to another platform. TunnelQuiz has the test builder inside, so you can write or import questions and send a link the same afternoon.

Why teams choose TunnelQuiz

Why teams choose TunnelQuiz over Proctor360

Reason 01

Skip the shipping and logistics

A shipped headset means an address, a delivery window and a UPS return for every candidate. For a high-stakes certification that may be worth it. For a screening test, a shared screen and a capture every minute will usually tell you what you need to know.

Reason 02

Know your cost before you commit

On TunnelQuiz a proctored sitting is one credit on every plan, and extra credits are up to $0.38 each. Proctor360's public figure covers one product, live single-webcam sessions at US$15 an hour; the rest comes as a quote.

Reason 03

One place for the test and the proctoring

Frequently asked questions

What is Proctor360's 360 Total View headset?

It is a Proctor360 device built around a 360-degree camera, with a microphone and a speaker, that shows the proctor the candidate's whole room. According to Proctor360's FAQ, the kit is shipped to the candidate's address and returned with a prepaid UPS label. It is one of four modes; the others are AI auto-proctoring, single-webcam live proctoring and multi-camera live proctoring, which adds the candidate's phone.

Does TunnelQuiz require any extra hardware?

No. Candidates need a computer with Chrome, Edge or another Chromium-based browser, and a webcam on Essential and up. Proctored tests cannot be taken on iOS.

Does Proctor360 publish its pricing?

Partly. As of October 2026, its one-time proctoring page lists single-webcam live proctoring from US$15 an hour, paid by the candidate when they book. Prices for the other proctoring levels and for institutional programs are given on request.

Is TunnelQuiz free to use?

Yes. The Free plan gives you one seat, up to 10 papers and 50 credits a month, which lapse at month end. As of October 2026, Essential is $34 a month billed yearly for 150 credits and Pro is $87 a month billed yearly for 250 credits; monthly billing is also available. Prices are in US dollars with no tax added. In India the same plans are ₹1,319 and ₹3,519 a month billed yearly, plus 18% GST.

Can I build a test inside Proctor360?

No. Proctor360 proctors exams delivered by your existing assessment platform or LMS, and connects to them through LTI and API. TunnelQuiz has its own test builder, so the questions, proctoring and results live in one place.

Does Proctor360 offer live human proctors?

Yes. Single-webcam, multi-camera and 360 Total View sessions can be watched live, and AI auto-proctoring sessions are reviewed afterwards from a dashboard. TunnelQuiz has no proctoring staff. It flags events automatically, gives each attempt a risk score, can end an attempt after weighted violations if you turn that on (Essential and up), and from Essential lets your own team watch a live monitoring dashboard.

How long does it take to set up an exam on each platform?

On TunnelQuiz you can sign up, build a test and send the link the same day. Proctor360's FAQ says standard LMS integrations and onboarding can often be completed in two to four weeks, and its one-time exam service approves and sets up an exam in one to two business days.

Which platform integrates with an LMS?

Proctor360 integrates with Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, Brightspace, Schoology and others through LTI and API. TunnelQuiz is a standalone platform with its own test builder and candidate management, and does not integrate with an LMS.

No hardware. No shipping. No quote to request.
