HireVue is an enterprise hiring suite: one-way and live video interviews, an AI interviewer, game-based assessments, scheduling and deep ATS integrations, used by large employers for high-volume hiring. Its pricing comes after a demo. TunnelQuiz does none of the video side. It runs proctored multiple-choice and written tests, and it suits the step before an interview, when you need to know who has the knowledge the role needs. If you are replacing HireVue's video interviews, look elsewhere. If you want a cheaper skills screen in front of them, this page is for you.
HireVue's core is the interview: recorded one-way video, live interviews in its own rooms or on Zoom and Teams, and an AI interviewer. TunnelQuiz has no video interviews. Its AI interviews on Pro are text chats. What it adds is a proctored test with evidence: the candidate's whole screen captured every minute, webcam snapshots from Essential and a live monitor of the sitting.
